Limitations of Study

  1. Our research put little emphasis on other factors such as family practices and education, one’s interest and awareness towards their own country, and years spent in Hong Kong.

  2. Since we have a distant relationship with informants, they may not entirely share their inner thoughts on sensitive issues like their identity. Thus, this study may not fully demonstrate their opinions.

  3. Owing to the limitation of time and availability of resources, we could not select both male and female informants from each school. By coincidence, females were interviewed in Islamic school while males were interviewed in local school. This may cause bias in our research as gender is a possible variant as well.

  4. There is a possible concern that the identity of the informants has already been shaped in primary school or pre-shaped by their personal characteristics but not through the learning environment of their high school.
